External Sending

Internal newsletters that can also reach beyond the directory

JungleMail reaches every employee through Microsoft Entra ID. And unlike almost anything else in the category, it also sends to the people just outside it, students, donors, members, volunteers and partners, from the same platform.

Most tools stop at the employee directory. JungleMail does not.

Most internal comms platforms reach staff and no one else. But the people who matter to you rarely stop at the payroll.

Most internal comms tools stop at the employee directory, so anyone outside it is simply unreachable.

JungleMail sends to employees and to the relevant people beyond the directory, from one platform.

Reaching non-employees means a second, disconnected marketing tool and a separate list to maintain.

Students, donors, volunteers and partners get the same on-brand newsletters as your staff, no second tool.

External blasts drift into generic B2C marketing, off-brand, off-message and easy to ignore.

External audiences stay relevant and consistent: your extended community, governed like internal comms.

Sending outside the tenant raises compliance questions that no single tool really owns.

Admin-controlled allowed domains, consent and unsubscribe keep external sending governed and auditable.

Internal first. External when it matters.

A deliberate extension of internal comms, for your community, held to the same brand and governance standards.

Beyond the directory

Reach the community around your organization, not the whole internet

Reach the people who matter but are not on the payroll, at their own email addresses, including personal ones like Gmail. No Microsoft account needed, so volunteers, seasonal staff and students are never left out. Same builder, same brand, same analytics as your internal sends, and never a cold B2C list.

  • Reach any email address, including personal ones like Gmail, no Microsoft account needed
  • Collect subscribers with web forms, or add them from SharePoint lists, files or an external directory

FAQ

Quick answers for teams that need to reach beyond their employee directory.

Can JungleMail send to people outside our organization?
Yes. JungleMail is internal newsletter software first, reaching employees through Microsoft Entra ID, but it can also send to external recipients. That combination is rare in the internal comms category, where most tools only reach the employee directory.
Who counts as an external audience?
The relevant community around your organization: students and alumni, donors and sponsors, members, volunteers, partners, seasonal staff and patients. External sending is designed for these consistent, connected groups, not for cold B2C marketing lists.
How do I add external recipients?
Internal employees are reached through Microsoft Entra ID, but external recipients are reached at their own email addresses, including personal ones like Gmail, with no Microsoft account required. You can let them subscribe themselves through opt-in web forms, or add them from SharePoint lists, uploaded CSV or Excel files, or an external directory.
How are external subscribers managed?
External subscribers are managed in a central hub. People opt in through web forms and receive automated welcome and confirmation emails, choose the topics they want to hear about, and can update preferences or unsubscribe at any time, with every change tracked for compliance.
Is external sending governed and compliant?
Yes. Administrators control which external domains JungleMail is allowed to send to, and consent and unsubscribe are handled for external subscribers. JungleMail runs on Microsoft Azure and is ISO 27001 and SOC 2 certified, so external sending stays auditable.
Is JungleMail a B2C email marketing tool?
No. JungleMail is built for internal and stakeholder communication. External sending extends that to your organization's extended community under the same brand and governance, it is not intended for cold outreach or consumer marketing campaigns.
